GRANITE SCULPTURE: "THE AUSTRALIAN FARMER"
Wudinna District Council lies upon rural countryside 570km NW of Adelaide. Established in 1925 the council area consists of Warramboo, Kyancutta, Wudinna, Pygery, Yaninee and Minnipa. The district stretches to the border of the unspoilt Gawler Ranges National Park.
The district is known for its crop and livestock farming with many supporting retail businesses. Scattered throughout the towns are icons such as the architectural 'Australian Farmer' Granite Sculpture and Australia’s second largest monolith, Mount Wudinna and Minnipa’s famous wave shaped Pildappa Rock.
