Recipients of the following cards or income may be eligible for Council rates concession:
- Holders of current Centrelink or Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Pension Cards, DVA Gold Card (TPI, EDA, WW), and State Concession Card. Apply through Department of Families and Communities on 1800 307 758.
- Self Funded Retirees who hold a current State Seniors Card. Apply through Revenue SA on 1300 366 150.
- Centrelink Allowees and low income earners who meet Families SA low income threshold should phone 1800 307 758.
Persons experiencing hardship may seek assistance from Council; contact Council's Rates Officer.
Certain persons and/or organisations may be eligible for a rebate, eg community groups, health and education organisations, etc. Contact Council's Rates Officer for more information.
A new on-line tool now makes it easier to find out about a wide range of concessions that are available to people living in South Australia. With few clicks of the mouse, users can identify what concessions they may be able to receive. Based on their individual circumstances, the Concession Finder selectes a set of concessions for which the user may be eligible. It also provides all the information they need to apply. The user can download and print the application forms, or find out who to contact for more information or assistance.
