Municipal Employee – Mechanic
Contract Position available until 30 June 2024

Wudinna District Council are seeking an enthusiastic and professional person to fill our Mechanic position.

The successful applicant’s responsibilities will involve effectively managing and coordinating the allocation and deployment of resources within the Maintenance Department as well as preventative maintenance and repairs to Council plant and equipment.

It is emphasised this position is “hands on” but will also require reporting skills to meet best practice standards.

Working a 76 hour fortnight over 4 days per week, the successful applicant will enjoy a range of benefits including drivers licence allowance, annual leave, sick leave and access to a Corporate Health program.

Applicants must be physically fit, have proven experience or a qualification as a Mechanic or Fitter (Diesel and Commercial) and hold a minimum HC class drivers licence.

Salary & Conditions: Salary will be in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and the Local Government Employees Award - Grade 7 ($58,958 - $60,239 per annum). The potential for future contract extension is available for the right candidate.
