Locations
Council maintains a number of sites for local residents to dispose of waste.

Opening Hours
The sites are supervised by Council staff and are open for deliveries on the following days and times:

Fire Ban Days
The refuse site and transfer station will remain open on Fire Ban Days. All sites will be closed on days when the fire danger rating is Catastrophic.
Disposal Charges
The general public can dispose of waste at these facilities, for a fee which is in accordance with Council’s Fees & Charges.
Ratepayers will be provided with $20 worth of subsidised vouchers per principal ratepayer, per financial year which are to be distributed with the first quarter rates notices.
As a single voucher is worth $5, you will need to take two vouchers for a $10 load and so on. Our site supervising staff have been trained and understand how the system is intended to work. If you need any assistance, please take your voucher book along on your first visit after the changes commence and our friendly staff will be able to help you.
Vouchers are available for purchase at the Council Office in values of $20, $30 and $50. No cash payment can be made at the sites so please ensure you are prepared.
Prohibited Items
Council’s operation licences for the landfill site and transfer stations do not allow the following to be received:
- Asbestos
- Tyres
- Medical Waste
- Toxic substances
- Prohibited Substances
Residents will have to make their own arrangements to dispose of these items in accordance with legislation, industry codes of practice and current procedures.
After Hours
The Wudinna Refuse Site may be opened outside of these hours in special circumstances, but a $50 fee will apply. Please contact the Council Office on (08) 8680 2002 for further information.
