Closure of Warramboo & Yaninee Waste Transfer Sites

Following public consultation, Council has elected to close the Warramboo and Yaninee with the last opening day to be Monday, 20 December 2021.

A number of factors were considered when making this decision including non-compliance with EPA licence conditions, required upgrade of facilities for licence compliance, lack of use of the sites and the two submissions received from public consultation.

Ratepayers who are affected by the closure do have the opportunity to dispose of household waste by utilising the weekly kerbside/bin bank collection service. This service can be accessed by those with properties outside of the townships at a discounted rate.
